Problem solved... see posts 1-6.

so i finally have my dual reds set up in heat sinks running 500ma.

Now the question.
When i put my AR coated PBS cube in the mix i can't seem to combine them. it will pass one straight through and then the second it will send straight through as well. Well it will pass a small amount of light at the angle to combine with beam 1. but the bulk of the power goes straight through.

i forgot the name of the site but cyp recommended it. the owner of the sites name is Max Liptack. I will try to find my email receipt to get you an actual link to my pbs. but i know for sure the website said it is AR coated for 650nm,

any thoughts.

Sounds like they are both polarized the same way, they need to be opposition polarized. Try putting a wave plate in front of one.

i just wikied what a wave plate does... couldn't i achieve the same or better result by rotating the module?

i'm double posting just in case people saw my last post, then they wouldn't see this post....

thank you guys for your help. you were both right. but with different approaches. all i needed to do was rotate my module inside of the heat sink 90deg.

Good to hear that you got it working.

How much combined power are you getting?

i haven't lpmed it yet.because my modules are in the heat sinks pretty snug. i have to bring it into work with me and try to tap it out. but i rotated the whole heat sink while the beam was passing through the pbs and you could clearly see it was working. and at 90deg was the sweet spot.

but it is 2 lpc 826's set at 500ma each.

How much was the cube? I've been meaning to do this so I can get some high power red for a change.

BAHAHAHA!!! Lol :D

Sorry, I couldn't help myself.

But joking aside, $20 is a pretty good price. I would have expected more. I'm gonna have to get myself one.

lol leave my weenie alone you internet predator!!!!

but i forgot to mention, that i had originally ordered a 10mm one but he was out. but he was kind enough to send me the 15mm at no extra charge.

pixed of my finished module

in this photo you can see the flat top screw i use to hold my pbs cube. Also, not the fiberglass insulation under each heat sink to isolate the lasers from eachother because i'm running them in series.

in this pic you just get a shot showing the pbs on top of the screw.

How did mounting it on that screw work out? Seems like it might be hard to adjust. I have never seen those heatsinks before where did you find them?

the screw method is kind of crude but it works enough. those heat sinks, i get them from work. I buy and sell used circuit breakers and those heat sinks came off of a 4000 amp switch. i had my neighbor drill the holes on his mill so the would be identical.
