He would argue that point.

Acc., you still with us in Los Vegas, getting late there. For that matter, Diachi too. I keep waiting for someone to ask me about my new avatar.
Las Vegas, I'm going to bed right after I send this....... lol

I was going to ask you ! But I forgot....... lol

Why ? It was fine the way it was and is now !

Because it's silly to have that up on a laser forum. You must have been tipped off. Earlier you had nothing to say about it, clueless and it was the same photo in my avatar, although cropped some.

And for comparison, here is the last post you made, editing what it was from above. I guess you just got told what had happened, now you pretend to notice?

It's fine the way it is now But the other one....... honestly not cool, AND I'd go as far to say, well I better not.......

Now I'm getting PM'd about the address, and I didn't give it out, this photo is useless to figure that out. Besides, I'm convinced now, earlier you were clueless of what the photo was until someone in the vets section must have told you. You are pretty good at assuming someone else's identity, or just don't look at avatars, which one is it? But.... you said you looked.

Regarding the story of getting a place to stay off base, here is a photo of an Iraq apartment, very nice, 1500 sq feet, new and three rooms plus living room with two bathrooms for 1250 a month. Hoping we get it:

I said that I've tried so far.

So my suspicions are justified.

If I were to say "The Ford fiesta is the fastest vehicle I've ever driven!", but I later qualified that with sheepishly admitting I've only ever driven a Fiesta and a school bus, that makes the first statement quite misleading. It's not quite a lie, but it's damn close. You'd get less sh:tsk:it from people by instead wording it "the Ford Fiesta is faster than a school bus." Understand?

You haven't addressed the other concern: How many lenses have you cleaned with soap? Was it just the one?

very rarely is he wrong.

The main difference between Accutronitis and myself is I want to know when I'm wrong. Learning new concepts is the main method for learning, but it is ostensibly MORE important to replace the incorrect concepts with correct concepts.

Cyp, why've you got to be so mysterious? :D

Because I despise when other people throw around credentials in a feeble attempt to prove themselves... as if their day job or their degree has any effect on the facts of reality.

But since you asked, I'm in the super-computing business. Lasers are just a hobby.

Fair enough!

Knew it was something to do with computing or networking. Sounds like it'd be interesting.

Jay Leno built a pretty cool festiva, anyway I had one long ago, 88 model IIRC, it was a Korean built body IIRC and had a Mazda 1.3 liter 4 banger, I had the 5 speed and I would drive 50 miles to work at the TUG tractor factory in Kennesaw to build airport tractors, anyway that little car got 40 miles to the gallon and I drove it WOT most all the way, it would do about 90 on flat ground, dam thing had 12 inch tires, I could get new tires back then for 15 dollars each. It was actually a durable little go cart of a car, I was told I went around corners on 3 wheels, lol. It had a hatch back and was really handy but it was common practice to just stand on it,.

So hope this helps everyone clean lenses.

Oh yea, the lenses.....just put them in the festiva's wiper washer fluid reservoir and hit a lot of bumps, hop a few curbs even, then leave them out on the roof in clean tin can with holes punched around the base for drainage during a cool rain, then put the cars heater on full hot and dry them out in the can, just use a string to hang the can from the windshield mirror so that the can hangs in front of the heater vents.

p.s. The car will need to be running during the drying process.

You're overthinking this, why go through all that crap when you can just put your lens through the local car wash? :p

Do you mean, strap the tin can full of my dirty lens to my head like a devo hat and go through an automatic carwash with the sun roof open?

Brilliant, I love it, and you get a car wash, the doggy poo stains out of the bucket seats, and my monthly bath all at once....just Brilliant. :D

Nice place, very clean and modern, 1250/month for 1500 sq/ft is a steal. What makes it or breaks it for me is the kitchen though, gotta have granite counters, ceramic tile floors, gas stove, stainless steel appliances, and non-painted cabinets.

LOL good point.

I just toss my lenses either in the washing machine with "whites" on delicate setting--works well or occasionally in the dish washer---finish/jet dry leaves them spot free. Try this yourself to experience the ultimate clean and amazing shine!

I usually clean my lenses with my 3800 psi pressure washer. Works like a charm....

:edit: I also make sure to use sodium hydroxide cleaning formula in the washer.
