Hey guys,
I'm building a custom pc case to enter in case mod competitions, and thought it would be really cool to diffract a laser over an emblem (in this case, I am going for a zelda theme, so the symbol of hyrule). I am looking for that rich warpy, dotty effect.
I am thinking one way to achieve this is to use crystal and have the beam enter from the side. I am guessing a square piece of crystal would work? Possibly with some mirror paint on the non-viewable sides to aid in reflection? I am going to have it shine in the symbol of hyrule by cutting the case and mounting the crystal behind it so that it shines through the front.
Thoughts? Is there a better way of doing this?
Thanks so much
