melles griot expander adapter

i'm looking for an adapter to screw onto my bmx. the bmx has 1" 32tpi male threads about 5mm in length. the laser receiving end could be smooth (no threads) at ~ 1" any ideas other than custom machining? are there photography accessories with this threading?
