For precision mounts that.s a steal. For just messing around and doing beam shots I would make my own mounts provided I already had the FS mirrors. I use my helping hand to hold mirrors and optics when I take pictures. Or you can just go through the house. Tape a mirror to a popsicle stick and then to the side of a book or something. Done.

Edit: If you don't have any FS mirrors shop around. But in case you are lazy here ya go. :) Optotronics FS mirror

Go to DTR's site. Buy the projector optics. Each kit costs 9 dollars for 2 sets. Each set comes with 2 FS Mirrors(along with dichros and prisms) so that is 4 FS mirrors plus lots of goodies :)

Search "DTR's Laser Site" on google. I am at the ER right now so I cannot make links easily. It is pretty easy to find though.

Hey im pretty new to laser but im wondering if there is any cheap mounted optics kits or mirror kits, because i have done a little looking around and found this site:
Meredith Instruments : Mounted Optics Assortment [AST-MOK-10] - $39.00 - The source for laser surplus

but that is a bit out of the price i was thinking of paying, anyone have any thoughts of what i could do?
Im mainly going to be using them for beam shots or just experimenting with what you can do with them.

Try this site too AnchorOptics.com - Supplies affordable, quality commercial grade and experimental grade optics
They have a greater variety of optics. They are own by Edmund Optics.

that site has lots of goodies to check out!!! I will keep browsing, but it looks to me like if you want the cheaper stuff you need to only look at the "Experimental Grade" stuff. Their PBS Cubes are pretty pricey.

There are like 5 screws and the top panel comes out. Most of the lenses and the dichros just slide out. I believe. There is also like a difuser that you can unscrew.

And just so you know livinloud, it is not a projector, just a piece that holds the optics.
