I am a biology lab coordinator. We are building a lot of cell phone microscopes of the type seen here:

I have a prototype that works very well using a dvd writer laser lens. I tried small laser pointer lenses as they suggested, but they didn't work very well.
I would like to order 10 or so lenses for this project that would be similar to the dvd writer laser lens I am using. The entire lens is about 1 cm in diameter or little less. It is plastic. The cheap laser pointer lenses are smaller and harder to use. Unfortunately, I don't know the technical details for the dvd lens which make it harder to find the appropriate type.
Can you suggest an appropriate lens from your for this project esp where to order them?
