When laserpointers started to be dirt-cheap you could get a set with several different tips or heads that could make 'images' instead of just a dot.

I would like to make my own "head" (i.e. with my own logo or such). But I don't really know how to get started.

Anyone have a clue?

You can print them (abit in somewhat poor quality) on a laser printer google is your friend. Make sure to check out the last page of the paper Holography Without Photography, which shows the result based on the more or less completely random hologram they used!

Yes but then one would have to have the printed paper and lens and such, and to me, that is too much trouble to see a logo for a second :p

Found a couple sites. the first wants 13,400 USD for 200 custom pointers. (RIPOFF!)

This site seems to be cheaper, but it still looks like you need to place a pretty large order to get the customs.

It seems that they are just ingraving the pointer itself, - not making a "head"

This looks very interesting.
Yeah I know it's always a question about googeling it. I never though about your search terms though.
