DIY Attaching Diffraction Grating to Lens Nut

So after seeing pictures of how cool multiple beams look with diffraction gratings I wanted one. So i ordered 6" diffraction film from feebay and it worked great except it was annoying holding it in front of the laser. So i decided to find a way of attaching it to my laser. I decided to go with gluing it to the lens nut. Here is some pictures of what I did. You don't need a 6"x6" piece you can make probably make 50 of them with this so buy the smallest piece you can.

Lots of gratings are available.

Here one grating I use on my RGB portable:

Thanks, thats what nice say it does start to a little just remove it and cut another little square and glue it on. Hopefully you would see smoke and stuff before it melted to the point it got on the lens.

You could buy a glass diffraction grating, or maybe I can send you
one just for the cost of shipping

I was actually looking at them after I did this little mod and was thinking the same thing. They are on ebay for like $6 free s/h and it might be more to ship to the US. thanks for the generosity +1

well if i go blind it will be by a light that i can actually see and gets through my safety glasses, which is highly unlikely. better safe than sorry :)
