Diffraction Gratings

Does anyone know a good place, preferably in the US that sells diffraction gratings? For anyone unfamiliar with the term, im talking about the pieces that are threaded on your laser AFTER the main lens and pivot along the beams axis to create changing patterns on walls or trees etc,..

I only seem to find them as part of a laser+grating combo and cant find invididual gratings myself. I have 5 different designs now and two of each for a total of 10 but alot of them and BOTH of my favorite ones are broken. :undecided:

I don't know of a "specific" place where one can buy such grating but if this is of any interest, I actually have 1 grating that I barely use myself.

It's the "star" pattern and mostly lays on my table collecting dust. If you want it just pay shipping and you can have it :)

there are several "star" patterns, is it the one where it has a large matrix of dots that break up into a kinda fractal of more dots then back to the original pattern, or does is shape the beam into some shape? If its the former sure just send me a PM and ill give you my paypal email, thanks!

we're possibly starting a group buy of these to get good ones for cheaper, just keep an eye out for it in the GB section

Laserbtb (China) sell the diffraction grating caps that attach to the laser (I used a bunch of them in my photography last weekend). That does not mean they will fit your laser. When Offroads had has his Laserbtb GB's they were 5 dollars a piece for the starfield and the circle ones too. For a few of his GB's they were given to us for free as a gift

Okay well thanks for all the great info. Ill have to measure the ones I have and count the threads to compare but id imagine the ones that go on the end of your laser are somewhat standard. All ten I've collected have been thr sAme type. They just break alot

Thanks thats awesome. There are single and double matrix patterns do you know if the double matrix grating is available? Either way apprecate the heads up.
