I have two of Nova's plastic diffraction gratings, the rainbow ones with 13,500 lines/inch on them, and they work very well, but I imagine glass/crystal would work much better.

I have an old 5mW red laser that you could make into different shapes. It wasn't made for high powered lasers though so when you put a green through it you get this:

It can still put the shape on houses kinda far away. But I can imagine a high quality batman one would work very well. Someone here could definatley make money off that one!
