I got myself this cute little laser:
Industrial 405nm 500mW laser module /Focusable/TTL [OL-405-500] - $119.99 : Zen Cart!, The Art of E-commerce

Which was listed as "focusable", at which point I thought, it includes a focus lens. Apparently, it means "the beam is focused to infinite focus, so you can focus it yourself with another lens"

So I was without a focused beam. I also ordered the tiny red laser modules, so I unscrewed a lens of that, and stuck it in front:

(All hail the mighty 3D printed lens holder)

And with that it burns quite well:

But the lens is too small, and cheap, and made for red lasers, as a pretty short focal point, and might even melt.

As I still know every little about lasers, I'm wondering on where and which lens to get? Most important for me are:
  • Not paying shipping jackpot, I'm from Europe. And already over budget :p
  • Large enough lens (7mm diameter min)
  • Better known focal point (currently it has a focal point around 1.5cm, further away would be better)

I can fit any type of lens in there, because I can make any type of holder, but the larger the better.
