Careful with the WL expanded lens set. I just had one melt on me.

Specifically the "Line effect" lens. I had it continuosly running for 7 min or so when the lens began to deform.

Here is the result of the damage.

I have yet to contact WL about this issue.

Real nice, line generation lens so cheap it melts when actually used.

Guess they didn't count on somebody actually accumulating ~10 minutes of work time on those lenses, I know I didn't, I just gave them a quick test and took them off and used the laser with 100% cap (with the little window removed, ofcourse).

Thanks for the heads up!

So WL is now contributing to modern art? I have to say I actually like it that way too. :)

WICKED LASERS SHITTY PRODUCTS STRIKE AGAIN!!!!! In all seriousness though that is quite a problem considering that if the thing melted any more it could have damaged your optics. I know wicked lasers skimps all over the place including but not limited to
-There protective glasses
-There batteries (explosives and often underpowered)
-There chargers (Several reports of them failing)
-There lenses (several people have had them arrive cracked)
-There packaging (lenses shouldn't crack in transit)
-There customer service
-There ability to take a laser, stick it in a box and then put it in the mail
-There soldering and electronic connections(A lot of reports of leads coming off)
-There lasers simply being DOA (Bad diode, bad electronics you name it)
-There 1W lasers that actually will turn on being underspec
But you would at least think there lenses might function properly.

Why? When you start to cut corners where ever you can you'll find a way to cut corners on anything.

I personally wouldn't trust anything that came from a WL warehouse.

Exactly. I genuinely don't understand how or why anybody would purchase anything from WL even after they have read all the negative issues associated with them. There are people on this board who have openly talked about how they purchased a WL laser even though they have seen all the negative forum posts. LoL I was reading a thread 2 days ago and I remember it going something like this "Well I took the plunge and ordered from WL after reading about them on this forum and it looks like I should have listened" If I can find the thread I'll link it. It just bothers me that even though people know this is a shoddy company they still SUPPORT WL RIPPING PEOPLE OFF by making purchases.
