Im building a 1watt 445nm laser. I really want a nice thin strong beam visible many, many, many, many miles. My housing is quite flexible so any modules with good glass are welcome. Using your guys terms i think im trying for the lowest "Divergence". Correct me if i'm wrong. Things like burning are not all that important to me but i think being 1W its going to burn anything anyways. I would love to keep this under $50 US just because I am trying to show my friend that you can achieve a bad ass laser without spending a thousand and having to go to wicked lasers *shudder*.

Thanks.

Berc;

The only optics that will give you the beam you want is:

2 optical elements to correct both the fast and slow axis of the beam.

Dr. Lava sells the bare optics or a complete assembly.

They are difficult to incorporate in a hand-held.

The best small "Axiz type lens assembly",
was the brass module that I used to sell on this forum.
