I've recently received my LZSK100 classic 532nm 100mW greenie from Lazerer but I must say, the divergence is not good at all. The beam diameter is 3mm and I was considering purchasing a 10x beam expander from jetlasers but the max. beam input is 2.5mm which will cause refraction and not all the light will go through. WTB a beam expander for my laser to significantly reduce the divergence and have better visible range.

It seems like you've not shopped around. There are many companies selling them. Google laser beam expander

If the beam is 3mm wide, how can divergence be horrible?

With a beam that wide, you'd expect quite good divergence, actually, much better than maybe other 1.5mm wide beams.

when it's screwed in all the way the beam is the tightest it can be and the focal point is pretty far out. when unscrewing the focal point comes in closer and divergence increases. even when focused to infinity its still pretty big at a distance. i contacted max but he hasnt replied.

its about 1.1 - 1.5mRad. It's my first higher powered laser so maybe to my eyes it seems like it diverges more.

That's perfectly acceptable for a green laser.

And yeah, in your vision the dot may appear bloomed, enlarged. Have a friend point the laser 20+ meters away and you walk to the spot and see it up close what it actually looks like. You'd be surprised. That effect is worst with 405nm blurays.
