Nice pictures man! I have an X-105 on the way...What optical lens is it that gives you that multi-beam effect? Did you order it from Nova?

I gotszzz the muniezzz, hesitant to buy tho, I spent alot in past month:
2K laptop
100 (+-25) diodes/stuff
240 psp
100 radioshack
50 ebay
20 potassium nitrate


that leaves me with 260, I cud buy X-105 pack for 230, leaving 30, buy lens holder/set for a good 2-3 bucks after all the discount, leaving me with some money...

Im hesitant tho, dont know if its worth it.
Are you happy with your laser? would you prefer a SX 200mW instead?

BTW nice pix man! is that what you see with normal naked eye? the beam is that visible with the nake deye in daylight? or is that just your camera?

All these pictures were taken at night in my house with all the lights on and is as close to the real thing as I could get it (funny because I just set the camera to auto and it was good) and the pictures in the garage were taken with a small amount of fog and with a 500W flood light on. The beam during the day is visible indoors no problem and outside when it is against a dark background. Of course, I naturally want more power but it definitely does burn almost everything. And it gives me something to play with before I get the 200mW I want. I wrote a review in the reviews section, you can check that out if you want more description!

I use a couple 'Cable Cuffs' for the stand/button holder thing...
They are meant for holding cables and wires together to minimize tangles and messes behind computers and whatnot. I put a cushion between it and the laser for a tight fit, and the laser button slides nicely into a space where it is not depressed, and when I want it on, I just turn the laser and the button gets pressed where the space becomes narrower... it's wierd to explain. I got them at Home Depot for 65 cents...

really nice pics, love that diffraction grating. my x105 just arrived yesterday and ordered on the 26th. averages 118.4mw and peaks at 124.4mw. i got the star crossed one with mine which is neat too. when i get time, i'll have to do a review or at least some pics or something.

For those who asked that looks like the star field generator for the optic. But, wonderful pictures! I have two cable cuffs sitting around here with a piece of foam glued in them to hold my lasers snuggly as well. Great <$1 each investment!

These cable cuffs are great. My diffraction grating is 'Matrix' btw.

Ahh, I ordered a x105 last tuesday, hoping it gets here soon.

Those pics just made the wait less bearable ;D

No, not a line generator... actually I just set the camera to the longest exposure it could go to and used the diffraction grading on the laser... to take the picture, as soon as I pressed the button I moved the camera around in a sqiggly line... so instead of moving the laser, I moved the camera.
