Gonna post a few pics.... It was taken New Years' Eve - Downtown, San ANtonio Texas - the building is the Tower of The Americas. It lamost looks like the laser was coming FROM the tower !! :eek:

I was about a mile away from the tower, sitting in a "camp chair" with the pointer sitting on top of the camera while shooting !

is that a timed exposure, or did it really look that bright from that far away that night?

.... per our conversation...I'll answer my own question for the benifit of others...

you said that was a mere point and shoot.. too cool!

How many cops were waiting for you at the bottom when you came down? LOL!!!

My daughter (14 years old) was using one of my 50mw ones to signal from across the crowd to me ;D When she went for a corndog - She made sure there were no aircraft, then pointed up, so I could see where she was ! I use a cane to get around - cause of a screwed up back and leg problem - so she had to go food hunting through the crowds :)

I bet it would be hard to sneak one of the bigger aries types or even herc in.. unless you could act like it was a flashlight...
Hey.. maybe thats a good cover.. we need to mount a fake reflector on the front for cover..... hummmm!!! ;D

Use the scroll bars - it's a zoomed pic, and is kinda huge on here !

Oh no - - - The cops were right next to me when I took the pics ! If I had a business, I coulda sold close to 100 of them that night ! I was on the pavement - looking up at the tower - although the pics don't look that way !

I just bet you could... thats a thought.. I bet they would crap their drawers when then hear what they cost though?

I wonder how many would actually pull out the cash?.. forget checks in that setting!
