Bump up this thread.

I see the pictures GR3EN too make 589 & 594 look quite different. Does anyone else who own both also can confirm this? I just sent CNI an email asking for a PGL 10mW 594 and depending on the price may pick one up if this is truly how different they look.

Hey Alex,

sure. here's a pic.

The brighter 589 does help distinguish the colour difference, and it's more noticeable in the dot splash. I miss my 594, but I also enjoy the small wad of cash sitting in my bank earning interest too... 589 is more stable and easier to enjoy in a variety of locations cold or hot.

Hate to be off topic but- in the OP, was that picture of that guy always there? Did the image URL get reassigned?

I wouldn't mind seeing more of him, and it seems I'm the only one who isn't lol

I'm not seeing him either, unless somebody's gone too far in personifying lasers.

Back on topic - what was that 589/593.5 picture taken with? I've been trying to identify a mystery wavelength. Do you have pictures of those two lasers' dots as well?

Sta's laser definitely looks a good deal more orange than 593 to me after the switch. 593 is a little more orange than 589 going by the pictures, but not drastically so.

Actually, the video does not show it as orange enough!
However, different cameras can perceive the same wavelength wildly differently. Mine was taken with an iPhone 6; does anyone here have both an iPhone 6 (or other iPhone) and a 593.5nm laser?

My picture was taken on an iPhone 5S IIRC. It has to either be 589 or 594 there's no other lines in that area until red. But 594 is been known to be passed off as orange before. The very first time I saw it I thought it was orange.
