Tonight I've decided to go out and test my three powerful 532nm beamers:

From left to right depicted follow:

Skylaser 600mW+ (giving actually over 800mW with fully charged battery)

PL-E PRO 800mW

PGL-III-C 800mW

I know these aren't very good pics (total darkness), but since there was a heavy rain during the shooting time, I figured I'd photograph them with my Galaxy Note 2. Exposure time set to 30 seconds.

There were trees in the background as the dots could be seen, except the first shot, the door moved during the exposure.

Thanks for your likes, guys:).
Wearing OD7+ goggles was a must during "photoshooting", those 3x800milliwatters combined were insanely bright at that rainy night. Also, finding a wide outdoor area without getting the attention of curious public is anything, but easy where I live:shhh:.

Re: Three power greeners: simple night shots

^LB, kind words once again:). But then again under right circumstances (natural/artificial fog or water spraying) even lower power turns out great.
Patiently waiting for the right weather conditions myself, winter's coming slowly, nights will be longer...just the low temperature could be a downside:D.

^^DJNY, that's some food for thinking, to take pictures of different power levels of the same wavelength draws out the actual colour much better:). I can clearly see it in your really well turned out shots:gj:.
Next time I need to take a shot at the lasers from a distant point, couldn't do it yesterday since it was pissing rain out there:p.

Re: Three power greeners: simple night shots

Cool pics gismo! Surreal and almost matrix like... Especially like the first pic where the door moved, it actually made it a much more interesting shot. Did you play with the colours too? I was going to say that it looks almost black and white ie grayscale with the green channel left in, but I just saw the red and blue power on buttons...? +1

Edit: Got to spread some first, sorry...

Re: Three power greeners: simple night shots

^grainde, cheers for a comment!

I swear to my mother's name I didn't use any colour render/adjustment at all. It was really dark at that time, plus the rain outside...one would say an ideal combo for a laser beam photography (only a fog/mist could beat that:D). The floor was concrete dark grey and the door was night black, so that might explain the fake greyscale effect.

Matrix rain...perhaps I should try playing a bit more with "a deja vu" settings on the phone:na:.

:thanks:

Re: Three power greeners: simple night shots

I'd like to add a few more shots taken this evening. This time I've used a bigger boy to capture the light green powah, namely Nikon D5200 borrowed from a good friend of mine passing through the town tonight only (lucky me), so I thought I'd use the opportunity.

Basically the lens used was AF-S 18-55mm VR, I was advised to set it this way: S mode chosen on the little wheelie with 30 sec exposure time. After taking about up to 10 shots the battery went nearly empty:D.
My buddy would understand, hopefully;). This DSLR seems to be a nice machine, thinking of buying it if budget doesn't get too tight, lol.

Enough writing, here are some shots. All of them are jpeg's. No after processing done (no time for that).

Those look great gismo! Is that a focusing lens or mirror in shots 3 and 4?
