That is very cool and is the kind of stuff I love to do !
I know nothing about that kind of laser BUT the moment I saw what they were doing I thought to myself "that's not a good idea because the smoke and/or residue from that vaporized piece of tape could get on something optical and then the beam might damage it, Is that something that could happen or is it something else ?
