I really get a kick out of the stupidity of some people. The idiots at my school would do this... without trying to win a flatscreen tv. Absolutely mentally dull. But still a source of entertainment, right?

Unfortunately, each one of these videos/stories brings the USA one step closer to having a complete ban on lasers...

I'd probably do 5 seconds for a flatscreen TV. ;D If I was allowed to wear goggles...

hm... something tells me he could be over exaggerating the pain? Usually lasers don't burn the palm of my hand, it's the top of my hand where it burns. To burn the palm that quickly, it would have to be pretty powerful, wouldn't it?

When you hit a high enough power level, it doesnt matter where you shine it, it's gonna hurt.

By the looks of the laser, it's not a cheap job.

If they were wearing safety goggles, I bet everyone would feel a bit better about the video, even if it is very stupid. But really, who here (That has a laser of reasonable power) has NOT burnt themselves with it in any way.

You can recover from a small burn, but you can't recover from blindness.

This is why ~~we can't have nice things~~ lasers get freaking confiscated...

I guess once one has finished one's first tart that one would have to obtain a second tart to be considered "retarted"

Stupidity can at times be effing HILARIOUS!! What an idiot..

My 175mW green burns my hand in about 1.5 second. I could never hold my hand still in front of it for 7 seconds..

Dont forget that the guy getting the burn has semi dark skin, the more pigment the more you will feel it.

Ive seen that video here before, quite some time back in another thread.
