That BLUE laser is the same one I reviewed. Here in Iowa, we usually don't have fog at night---- just cold winds :-( Glenn has a better area for beam shots.

I got the shorter tripods from a LPF X-member, sorry I don't have a line on them. To the eye the beam is just as golden as 20 karat gold. The closest thing to the color I commonly see otherwise is those amber turn signal lights on cars.
I will try more beam shots ASAP! -Glenn
