I bought this Skylaser DPL-700 green laser from the groupbuy. Thanks to offroadfreak8582 for organizing the GB. It was a long wait because of some unexpected events. But in the end the laser was delivered.
It is a very beautiful laser with an output of 700mW. I measured it beyond 800mW !! It totally blown my expectations.
I put my camera on work and the result are here. Have fun !!

More pictures are coming because it isn't pitch dark out yet :)

The package has been opened by FedEx for examination...

and they have cut into the case with a sharf knife. :(

The laser had a build-in shutter and is focusable with a locking ring.

The blue LED is very bright. Almost as bright as the green dot. Luckily it is very recessed. I need some material to stuff up the hole and block 99% of the blue light :)

Skylasers :)

Seems to be a great laser. Can you also measure divergence and beam diameter?

I need to examine the head of the laser. It seems the dot isn't at the smallest but the head won't go any further. It was better if the focal point could passed the infinity. Then I have more room to focus the laser. If you know what I mean.

Wow! That's a lot of power. Pretty stable too from what I see! What is the beam size/divergence? I am always curious how much of a comprise in beam size there is for the higher power.

Wow, that's pretty darn bright for an indicator LED if it can make it through black electrical tape.

Good idea, the blue LED is really too bright. It was better to save the energy for the green laser.

You think for the money that sticker could have had a green beam on it. I think you a lucky dog for that unit, very nice.

I'm a bit surprised that the LED's are actually blue. Would make a lot more sense to use an LED of a color at a completely different part of the spectrum so it can be easy to see with goggles on.

Awesome laser... I'm decidedly jealous :D
