Yep I tried it and it didn't work for me, either 450mW is not enough or I forgot to use a convergent lens or it just doesn't work with Corona, well at least I can drink it now :D

I think everyone will be trying this one

It won't go flat if I leave the cap on, but then I can't drink it
Cool... but then you'll make it flat. :(

The high pressure in the vessel will prevent the gas coming out of solution, you've got to pop the lid ;) .

I tried it with a glass of Busch beer and it didn't work. I'll go shopping again before Christmas and try again with something else, all beers are not created equal.

Won't a MW pulse break the glass?

I would think so. Someone in another thread said they had a beer bottle crack from a 3W laser, and there was someone else here that had a sheet of glass explode from a CO2 laser. I don't know how much power it takes, it probably depends on the color and thickness of the glass and wavelength of the laser, but it appears that with enough power you can super heat an area of the glass causing it to break.
