Apparently so. He points it at the bus.

Someone else also pointed a green laser at the bus.

Idiocy all around, in this video.

I assume that's the reason the driver lost control of the vehicle, in second clip (first where he looses control), you can clearly see a high power green laser being pointed into the driver's cabin, however from the size of the dot, I assume somebody pointed it from the nearby buildings.

In second case though, somebody very close to camera did in fact point a very high powered 405, or even more likely, 445nm laser into the bus.

It's terrible. I dunno what would I do if I ever saw somebody intentionally trying to cause an accident using lasers or whatever else. Is physical assault in that case legal (if you were to disarm a person holding a dangerous device like a laser)?

Yeah that's just one video where you see nobody gets killed.

How many accidents where people do get hurt and killed go unfilmed?

Eh I'm just getting depressed thinging about it. And trigger happy :p

Depending where you are, laws of course vary.. In Canada, I would call this
grounds for citizens arrest as a witness to an indictable offense.

Some other countries may also allow arrest and detention by 'reasonable' force :eg:

Indictable offence - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Granted the video is from the mid east, they may cut off your hand for such a crime

Some cameras pick up 445nm as purple, the way the beam/dot looked it seemed more like a somewhat defocused 445 to me.

In case of morons like this, I sincerely hope castration is also an option.

Depends on who your dad is over there. Repercussions for these yahoos that drift on public roads is very limited, because the police have their power granted by the king, and his family is immune, pretty much. Connections matter a lot.

looks like a 445nm to me to esp if you look at the laser in his hand, since its the dumb-#$% right in front of the cam. However driving like with with passengers, I don't really care if someone is hitting them with a laser, they have past the threshold for common sense way down the road. That is like ummm well being worried about someone pointing a laser at you while staring at the sun. But worse. No amount of training or driving makes that safe. Also it sure looks top heavy to me.

As far as i know, DRIFTING like that is a common practice on the streets esp in this video you can see a bunch of people "waiting" for some new events to happen there.. I dont think it is the lasers because of which the driver went crazy n all.. And he did it Three runs in the video 1. With no Drifting 2. With crazy drifting 3. With drifting and a laser pointed in front of him for a second.
There are similar spots where the crazy-ass lunatic saudi's almost flip their car over..
Now who is prosecuted and who is not, its a whole different story..

Its perfectly safe - all passengers in the bus had their eyes closed in fear anyway. The driver was already blind before performing this stunt ;)
