I have a bunch of Surface face mirrors so I decided to finally use them. This is a 220mW 650nm DIY, 78mW 473nm BLM, and a 50mW 532 newwish.

Sweet! It's a laser PENTAGRAM :D
Do you have enough mirrors to make this?

Yeah I have like 15 or so. Isn't that a puzzle where you try and complete the thing without doubling any two lines or something like that?

Exactly! :D If you don't already know how to do it you could try it on paper a few times , it's quite easy to figure out.
It would be a little bit harder to do with a laser because of the corners. You would have to have 2 mirrors in the same place, but I guess if you would place them one on top of the other it would look just as nice from above. :p

I wonder what's the quickest and cheapest way I can get my hands on a bunch of small mirrors..... :-/

You only need 7 of your mirrors.I guess you can do way nicer stuff with 15 or more :D as long as the beam doesn't get too thick.

cheap mirrors = hard drive platters hardest part is cutting them up without forming any bends

Nice diagram. Mounting them on top of each other might prove to be difficult. I was thinking of placing mirrors all over the corners of my living room and bouncing it along the ceiling. I need to get mounts for these. I picked these up on e-bay a while back. It was a 20 pack. I think jack over at optotronics has something like these for sale.

You can find some good deals on Front Surface Mirrors on eBay. There is a seller that has kaleidescope mirrors that are pretty nice to use. I bought the 10x 3/4"x8" mirrors and am happy with them. They cut really well with a glass cutter.

I had never thought of that! I bet if it was cut w/a dremel it would work great!

Who needs to cut them!
I have a zillion old hard drives. Tomorrow I will pull the top off one (I have harvested magnets from them before) and set it up to use its ow circuitry to spin. Thing is, the surface is coated with elemental cobalt, so if you smear it it will NEVER be as good an optical surface again.
heeehehehe easy as pi spiro scanner.

I have tried that approach. They have to be surface mirrors or the reflections and impurities from the glass mess up the laser beam. My luck has been terrible ever since :)
