The big diffrence between the dx200 and the rpl at least is that the dx200 has a tiny beam. the RPL has a small beam as far as portable go anyways, The herc's beam is the size of a pencil eraser, the rpl's maybe a toothpick, and the dx200 is a pinprick.
No as far as visiblity, the rpl is MUCH brighter. The 200mw dot is dazzlingly bright. you can look at the 100 fine for the most part, but the 200+ has you seeing spots in a hurry.
I'd have to agree. Very enlightening pics.
Comparing 100 vs 200 vs >>400mW green.
Let's us all have an idea of the sort of power we want!
I hope my DX200 performs and looks as sweet as yours. I really like a pinprick spot compared to a larger spot. Any chance you could help me test my dx200 when I receive it to see how it performs?
How about starting an archive of comparison shots?
If possible, I wonder if someone could collate a whole series of green power pics.

Also comparison of various brands within ranges:
Low power:
Core 5 vs DX-5/10 vs no name 5mW?
Classic 15 vs X-15 vs DX-20/30
Medium power:
X-25 vs X-45 vs DX-50
X-65 vs Phoenix 75 vs DL 75 (are these all CNIs)
High Power
X-85 vs X105 vs DX-200(ie 100) vs DL95
X-125 vs other 125s vs RPLs
I guess no one has all these lasers but we probably have them all combined.
Perhaps NovaLasers, Optotronics, Laserglow and other companies could do up a photoshoot of their range of lasers for us of beam and spot shots compared. Might be asking a little too much to ask them to team up and do a shoot of all their laser beams together!
