2 $ is a great deal for new 635nm 5mW. I've spent up to 20$ on the same thing, which is 10X more! And for one of my birthdays when I was around 15yrs old, (11yrs ago) my dad bought me a 5mW 635nm laser pointer for $120 that ran off of AAAA batts. at Fry's Electronics ;D Don't have it anymore, oh well. Nice pictures there by the way. Nice job on the spirograph too, 2 spinning mirrors right, not a true scanner? I built a similar one using 3 mirrors and motors controlled by RC, I'm still working on it but it works cool for what it is now, I made a thread about it in "light shows" board.

Yea thanks. My bad its a Spriograph. It makes alot of different patterns and shapes.
yeah its 2 motors controlled with 2 pots to control motor speed, and a reverse switch on each motor for even more fun.

Nice pix!

Actually you only need one reverse switch on a two motor spirograph. When you use two reverse switches, they cancel each other out. ;)

No, not on my setup. If i turn the reverse switch on,then one motor just goes into reverse.

BUT, if you reverse both of them, then the spirograph would be the same as it was to begin with, just going the opposite direction. ;)

But what if you reverse only one at a time? will you not get 3 different ways of it spinning? :D
