Saw this over at PL, thought I would share it with you guys too. This was at a UKLEM (UK Laser Enthusiast Meet)

It's not mine, but it's very cool!

I would most certainly be using glasses in that room.:eek:

This I posted in way that could possibly be taken very serious and also yes very schweet laser. how much for out the door $.:)

Nah, the people in that room have a very good idea on how to use lasers safely. I would say they do have goggles, however ...

The guys know what they are doing, otherwise they wouldn't be allowed to do laser shows for THOUSANDS of people at a time.

I sure as hell want to go to the next UKLEM, they had TWENTY laser projectors syncd at the last one ;). We sure know how it's done over here eh ? :p

Not saying goggles are a bad thing, but what good is buying a pretty coloured laser then putting goggles on so you can't see shit?

Seems pretty stupid to me when they are all clearly positioned sturdily on the stage.

I hear ya. Partial blindness is one of the things I have come to accept as an inevitability. It is a small payment for the pleasure I get from lasers. Of course if I am dealing with IR lasers that I cannot view anyway the glasses are going on.

Ever had a button or even a watch reflect a beam...all I'm saying is when
your casually walking the scene wear some specs.:cool:

Stopping to see an individual display just take them off. In those pics there are projectors all over and at different heights.:undecided:

I wasn't flammin or anything just always wanting to error on safety side.
Sure shows are awesome, but in the long haul if your not careful and have little or no sight what is sense of going to one.:beer:

the pics were great BTW.

They can use the software to actually turn down the power of the beams where they are at eye level, and in some cases, even adjust the beam divergence on the fly!

At most of the meet pics I have seen, they usually have a row of desks towards the back of the room, that way, they can tell where the laser can and can't go.

However, there is A LOT of fog in that room. That red beam in the second pic is <5mW !

I have a ~20 watt CO2 in a Star War's gun but haven't installed the sighting laser yet. I posted pictures long ago.

Oh wow, nice work Mike :)

I need to try find a small CO2 tube one day, they look like a lot of fun :)
