Hey everyone. So these pictures were taken over the course of a few weeks by my girlfriend (I set up the lasers and all that, she brought the camera and did the camera-y things to make them look this good! <3). While they aren't necessarily related, I kind of wanted to show off these pictures. So here they are! (I will describe each of them underneath each picture.)

image_1.jpg

A picture in front of the fountain outside my dorm with 445nm, 473nm, 532nm, 589nm, and 635nm (with the exception of 660nm - none of these photos include that wavelength).

Wall-writing!

image_11.jpg

Me with my ~85mW 589nm laser. I think this is one of the best beamshots of this laser that my girlfriend has taken :D

image_12.jpg

Explosion of light! Same five colors as before, but this time pointed at a wall in order to get a great beamshot :D

image_19.jpg

My 1.9W 445nm laser pointing at a fountain lit by a ridiculously bright torch.

image_21.jpg

Awesome shot of my 1.9W 445nm laser shining at the Tempe Town Lake and reflecting back, even seeing the beamshot of the reflection! And me, of course.

image_24.jpg

A beautiful photograph of the beam of said 1.9W 445nm laser. Took about 12 tries to get this one right, but she sure as hell did a great job.

Now, Vivian Sarik is my girlfriend, that's why that watermark is there. She's started to get more into photography, so she wants to make sure that her work stays her work ;)

Anyway, fellas, what do you think?

Picture #5 is excellent

As to the girlfriend bit... pictures or it didn't happen (and we now know your true identity). You know the rules :na:

Thanks :D

And I am not too sure she wants her picture up on the internet... but if you friend me on Facebook, what can she do about that? ;)

Well, thus far, my laser identity, and my FB identity have remained thoroughly separate, but sure why not:p

Tell your GF to post hi res versions of the pictures though. Someone wants to add to his desktop background collection ;)

:kewlpics:
It's to hard to get a beam visible photo in the camera than it actually is!!

Not at all:

DSC00058Custom.jpg

Especially if you play around with exposure.

That was taken christmas eve, with a 1.3W 445nm.

I see, the exposure would be in a DSLR right..
I've never owned a dslr so that's why i said that, "fog" was the thing i was comparing the difference to.. but cool , nice photo there!

Thanks

I don't own any DSLR's either :( Too expensive for me. Also too freaking big. I use a much cheaper, small, point, and shoot, waterproof/shockproof Sony.

Exposure settings are available on many cheaper cameras too afaik though. I rarely mess with the settings. Just flash on, or off, is basically it for me :p

I'm pretty much on the ancient side when it comes to Cameras, The digital camera i own is a 1.6mp Intel with a staggering 8mb memory it has HQ and SHQ modes :na: i have it since late 90's, those were big things at that time..
But i've given it a thought i might get one eventually..
For now i have a 4S which i think for a phone has a pretty decent camera..
P.S:Sorry for the semi-threadjack wolf.. , :kewlpics: again!!

Great pics yet again! They look fantastic in the city with the fountain and lake, it is especially nice to see outside the usual setting of pics taken indoors.

I thought I read it wrong when you said beamshot of the reflection - wow!

Did you have to take these pics late at night as to not have too many people around?

Yeah, I did :\ I think we took them at 3 in the morning! But we're college kids, so it's no problem. Especially taking them during finals week! Heheh.
