I see a definite medical use here. Treatment of ingrown nails. instead of yanking them, cut them with a laser!

Ya burning metal nails would have been far better. Btw if you get the overwhelming urge to burn your fingernails I'd suggest using nail clippings instead of putting one's finger that
much in harm's way. Also may I suggest using a magnifying glass in sunlight or those novelty plasma balls.

I was bored once and put my 445nm to infinity, pointed it at a leg hair and found it was cool that it instantly was chopped in half. Then 10 secs later the smell hit me... Ack!!

Can't nail burning possibly burn the under-skin below the nail? I can just see people watching that video, seeing black on your nail, and going "I'm going to tattoo my nail and tell people I did it my self with a laser!" Or did I speak too soon? =D

Well actually as soon as the nail gets charred by the burning , no light will go though it... right?
Besides, why worried, if it hurts like hell ReNNo would not do it a thousand times by now
