**** 3000 Post **** :D

I have bought a Nixie Therm kit. This build is much more complicated than the Ice Tube Clock. Especially the casing was a puzzle. :)
The main feature is the Russian IN-13 bargraph Nixie tube. The tube is made 20 years ago and it give a nice glow in the dark. It was a new old-stock.
The documentation was not so extensive as the other build but I manage to finish it in 3 hours. :)
Here are some pictures :

Thats cool.. i've seen something similar with 2 of those tubes used as VU meters - probably mostly the same circuitry with a different input system.

Holy wow, that's awesome. I love gas discharge tube stuff. They're so much more eye pleasing than LED's and other forms of lighting.

I bought it here, Nixiekits.eu • Finest quality Nixie clock and tube kits made in Germany
It is sold only by this shop.

A correction about the Russian IN-9 bargraph Nixie tube. It is the longer IN-13 tube.
I was surprise that the model was bigger than I tough. I like it very much. It is a very nice Xmas gift with all that changing colors.

The holy grail is of course the Clock of Russian IN-18 Nixie Tubes.

Very nice! Only thing is I don't see an isolated and exposed thermistor or thermocouple.... is it soldered directly to the board? Nothing intrinsically wrong with this but it just makes the thermometer less sensitive to small and fast changes in ambient temp is all.

I have added a picture of the bottom of the Nixie Therm. The sensor is exposed to the outside air. From the part list : ic1 - LM35DZ Centigrade Temp.-Sensor

The hole in the upper right is for temperature adjustment on the voltage pot.
The other internal pot is for trimming of the amplifier.
