Didn't know where to put this thread in the media section or here. :undecided:

anyways on with the lasers!

Specs:

- Ehgemus host, fixed focus, 250/280mW
- Dorcy host, ehgemus style heatsink, AR coated lens, A-140, flexdrive, 470/520mW

on with the pics:

first up the ehgemus pointer:

And here is the LPM video :shhh:

Didn't know how long the duty cycle on the dorcy would be but i decided to call it a day :p

Thanks for watching :thanks:

greeting,,

EDIT: i got a better cell and heatsinked the driver of the dorcy now it's a stable 830mW output

Yeah the lpm is very nice!! despite te respons time but i don't really care about that  it's not that this lpm is super expensive!

And i red your point about the caution of it falling over! so i bougt some rubber and put one in each corner';)

greetings,,

Nice pics

I love the old Dorcy Jr as a pocket laser.

It is small and has rounded corners so it is easy to get in and out of your pocket

Peace,

so true :)

a question, just bought some arctic silver in my computer shop and applied it to the flexdrive and some metal rings for driver heatsinking. But how long does it need to dry? And while drying is this thermal adhesive conducting?

greetings,,

EDIT:

ok could nout wait to check what it would do with better heatsinking on the driver. This mini monster puts 600+ mW now.. Just wonderin what it would do with a cherry picked diode and a 405-G1 lol then it could put out 1W easily

It doesn't need to dry. I think it wouldn't dry afterall. As long there is contact between driver and heatsink you can use the driver.

Did you bought the paste or the glue version ? You should use something like silicon glue between the driver and the sink. Like this, SamenKopen.net - LEDs, componenten, Arduino, ledstrips, motors - heat conducting silicon glue

ok, wel i just used the normal arctic silver:

thought this stuff would dry.. You you have any of that thermal glue in stock blord?

it's way cheaper than arctic silver :p

p.s check my edit post just lpmed it again ;)

greetings,,

I have one un-used. I have ordered two but need only one syringe for my LED lamp builds.

PM me for details.
