I just got my 520 module from DTR. Great member....
I built it into a simple housing but had to do machining
to make it look like the others!

These are my 3 hand held lasers with different colors.

I'm not a good beam shooter so this is my best!!

Three beam spots of 405, 445 and 520 -- The 520 is a "cooler" green.

I tried for some smoke but this is all I got:
The color does not do justice......

The 405 is 700 mW, the 445 is 1 Watt and the 520 is 100 mW running at a preset 300 mA.
Yes ---------- the 520 will pop a balloon --- - - - -::)

Good module -- Thanks to Jordan.

The body colors match the laser color!!! The bottom two housings I got at a Mills Fleet Farm for $5.00 Each!!
My wife can see the different color from 532 but can't describe the difference. It's like fine wine!

That's still one I need to put in the collection. Very nice little set mike.

The BLUE overheats real fast in this small housing.
I found a bad ground and when fixed, it jumped to 1.3 Watts.
Too much for the Hsinking.
That's how it goes..... The 520 is nice!!!
I'll try again sometime to get better beam shots.

I uisually describe the 520nm as being a mint green compared to 532nm it really does make the 532nm seem more yellow when side by side.

I think lasers with color coded hosts are awesome, lost of my collection follows this concept.

Hemlock_Mike, did you see the thread about the possiblity of 120mW and 90mW rated 520 diodes, though multi-mode, which may possibly be driven to output over 200mW? should be interesting to see. the current 520s are rated 50mW and I have not heard of them much over 100mW, that's with a g lens and usually driven at at least 300mA, as yours is.

I love 520 and 405, two of my favorite wavelengths. 700mW of 405 is awesome

Guess I'm getting lazy in my old age... I ordered a 520 module preset
to 300 mA from DTR - then machined my housing adapter from 6061 Aluminum.

I saw the "high power" 520's after I ordered this module. I'm almost tired of
fighting with multi-modes. My BLUE lasers are powerful enough to impress
the unenlightened !
This is a nice green with enough power to be seen. Guess I enjoy color now.

Blackwolf --- I found my error and corrected it. At least the picture was correct!

I agree, single mode is nice, though I still want to see the multi mode ones. they probably wont be as bad as a mitsubishi 638 and hopefully also better than a 9mm 445nm. we'll see
