My time tunnel setup for Halloween

Here's my time tunnel setup I've rigged for Halloween night in my garage. It's rather jury-rigged but still gets the job done. At first I used one of my 488nm argons (one's a single line, one's a multi, but in this use it really doesn't make a difference) and a 150mw 660nm module. Well, the 488 wasn't visible enough (don't know exactly what it's outputting but my guess is less than 40mw) to go with the 660 so I swapped out the 488 for my other single line argon that puts out 514nm of jade green (it's nearly as bright to the eye as 535nm). Where the beams overlap you get a little hint of yellow as well, though it's hard to see in the photos.

I put the motor with the mirror on top of a 6 ft ladder (which I have since covered with black felt so no one can see the legs of the ladder) and set both lasers on top of a plastic box on the floor. I have one first surface mirror set at a 45 degree angle for both lasers and a very small mirror in front of the motor to re-direct the beams at the spinning mirror. The beams are "offset" from each other due to the lasers not originating from the same angle but when looking into the tunnel you really don't notice it. You can only see it from the side view outside of the tunnel.

In this one I'm fiddling around with my lower-powered 405nm module:

Here I have switched to the green argon:

Nice job!
Wish I had something set up at like that.
Watch out for the little kiddies wanting to take to close of a look

Very nice pics. I just got some FS mirrors, now to find something to mount them on.

I see a bit of white with your multiline and the red. I tried that once, but my white was rather purple.

I think it's more of what the camera sees than what is seen by the eye - I really didn't notice it when I was doing the setup. Now I did get some yellow going where the red and green overlapped, but not as much in the pictures.

Thanks for your compliments everyone! I will be taking some more pics of my whole Halloween setup this Saturday night.

Nice effect and color. It should be quite impressive! Beautiful pics as usual.
