These are very inspirational!!
More than I expected.
I really liked the parts with the optics and deflections up close.

heres the photos I took at SELEM 2010

2010-08 selem 2010 - a set on Flickr

Absolutely gorgeous, once again.

Thanks for sharing your pictures.

I have only made it to one small laser meet (in Oregon, organized by Laserman532). I NEED to squeeze the time out for another.

I'm just finishing up my first 660/532/445 scanner. Low power and TTL, but I've learned a lot.

As soon as drlava gets his new modules for the 445 shipping, I'm going a bit higher ;) and analog :D

Hope to meet you some day

Peace,
dave

for sure, I have only been to FLEM's (Florida) and SELEM's (South East) meets but SELEM had some LPF people this year...

I am already working on shows for next year now that my projector is pretty much (finally) done :)

besides all the lasers, SELEM has some incredibly smart people, personally I enjoy more going there to talk to people and learn as much as my brain will allow in 3 days than running the shows, but I love learning :D

Absofreakinlutely! I hope to NEVER stop learning. It tell my students all the time:

The brain works like a muscle. Keep using it and working it, and it will stay strong. Stop working it and it will atrophy.

For proof I simply have them compare my brain to my belly

Lasers have done great things for my brain -- Not so much for my belly

Peace,
dave

absolutely beautiful pics!! I wish I could attend one of those but they are never in my area (north east). Someday I'll have to travel to one.

I tried giving you some rep for sharing these incredible photos but it tells my I must spread it around!!

when we went to lunch someone left the hazer on... when we got back to the venue you literally could not see your hand in front of your face...

so we opened all the windows to try and clear out some of the haze... the result was we made it hazy outside too.... thats a small green pointer (think like ~50mw?) outside in the middle of the day...

^ Ah, that would explain what appears to be an abrupt ending to the beam. Cool, and great pics by the way!
