almost every video/movie needs music(Watch "No Country for Old Men", it's a soundtrackless movie and see what you think).I always like to use instrumental tracks on videos showing something off, and slightly sincronize the music with the image for some effect. Btw, there's more to deathmetal than angry screams : But I agree that emo crap is crap*.
