--- Update at the bottom ---
Hi all, yesterday I spend the whole day at building my RGB laser.
It is not perfect. I have to do some fine tunig on it, but I think it is still worth to post it .
My camera doesn't pick up all colors right, some photos may not look like in real.
The blue diode is a M140 at about 1A
The red is a M!t$ub!sh! at about 700mA. It doesn't run at full power because the green is to weak. The beam is really big but I don't have a simgle mode red diode :/.
And the green DPSS is 85mW out of a pointer. (To weak for this build :/ )
I have got the diodes from DTR, thanks!
First I had to build the driver for the diodes.
This is the driver for the blue diode. I messed it up while I tried to cut the PCB but I was able to fix it. Btw: this are the first drivers I build on my own
Here is the driver of the red diode. It looks much better then the other ^^.
Both together ...
So let's put all together. This is the final build. I have only to build a little lm317 circuit for the green DPSS. It needs 3V and I power it up with 7,5V out of a computer PSU.
So here are some beamshots. I can't get a real white. I think this is because the beams of the red and blue diode are so big and the green is really small. On a wall the dot is pretty white, but still not perfect.
But the colors are actually really cool.
This should be a white beam. But it is only in the middle of the beam. Aound the beam there is a magenta color. The beam of the green is too small and a bit too weak.
Here is the dot on a white wall. In real it looks quite white.
Here is a shot of a orange shot. I really like it. It looks much better than the "white"
I have changed the resistor before the driver. So the red is now a bit weaker and I get a really cool yellow color ^_^. Here you can really see that the red diode has a huge beam.
This is the blue diode with the green DPSS. It looks like only a 445nm laser on the picture but in real there is a really cool blue color, especially the dot.
Maybe the will come updates but I'm not shure. I hope you like it!
cheers
Update 1:
I have took a shot with a bit of fog. There is white light! But only in the middle :/. I think if I will have single mode diodes I will use them.
