ive been watching ur topic on PL for some time, but these selem pics just shut me up.

same effect the first 5W rgb i came in contact with had on me, nice work flec.

Seriously awesome pics you guys! +1 to both of you.

flecom can u post pics of the inside of projector?
pretty :gj:

flecom, truely amazing. Fantastic job. I hope some day to build one of these. Maybe not 5W but a projector none the less. +1

they are over on PL, and lemme tell you, those pics alone are worth registering.

It is a pretty sick system for sure.. There's also a guy over on PL called "Doc" from the UK who has an extremely nice 5W whitelight that he built. My lil 1W whitelight is making me feel all insignificant now :yabbem:.. "laser envy". Working on a new dual-red for it though, so soon it'll be up to ~1.2W at aperture. Not too bad considering what she's cost me so far.

hell, if youre like me you can appreciate a thrifty, well built 1watt. all systems go ont he dual red!

and stare longingly at the ~10 in progress :D

the link to the PL thread has more of a worklog, but here are the internal pics

its hard to tell by the pictures but the 642 LaserWave is under the two CNI 650/660 (or whatever they are) modules

the scanners I ended up using are the 30Kpps EyeMagic scanners with the 6.5mm beam mirrors... was losing way too much in the DT40 Wides I was going to use originally...

there are no scanners in any of those pictures, didn't have them yet... got them the day before I left for SELEM!

Flecom, where are you located? Thats one sexxy projector. Im working my way up to 5W also.
only 2.5W now, waiting on a nice kvant 642

thanks :)

I saw your projector on PL also... its amazing how red is now the most difficult color to deal with

also I love how you wrote *only 2.5W!* I remember how proud I was of my projector earlier this year (before the 445 explosion) when it was doing over a watt of white! lol

I am also saving up my pennies for a kvant 642... even with the 2w of 650/660 or whatever and the 500mw of 642, I always feel like there is never enough red for beam shows... even though I got an amazing white on this projector with all the lasers at 100% the red on its own just lacks the "wow" punch of the 1.5W of green or the ~1.5W of blue...

I really want to get the ~2W 642nm KVant module but its going to take me a while to recover financially after all this, so probably not any time soon lol

I dont know what happened to me, but I think I lost my mind and decided to build my dream projector once the 445 diodes came out...

I had the 1.5W green for a while (in a beam table) I had the 2 1W 660 CNI's laying around from a trade I did, and I had the 550mW 642 and 400mW 473 from my previous projector (400mw 473, 300mw 532, 550mw 642)

so as soon as the 445 modules came out I could finally afford enough blue to make a huge RGB possible...

and I think a lot of people are in the same boat...

now all we need are cheap 1W 638nm diodes

That setup is intense, i didn't even see the other module underneath
