Why not have both, I am, but since I have allready had the Arctic and had to return it. I can tell you the Spartan is the far better quality of both lasers.
It's a much better beam, no refective Artifacts like the Arctic has, the Spartan has a much cleaner beam, is the far better burner, more stable, more power. The only thing the Arctic has got going for it is the smart swtich and Host, but the Spartan is a far superior laser in every way.
The Arctics are it seems having reliablity problems. Mine was going good for 4 days, then stopped working other then a faint dot. Seems if you read here and Facebook seems others have had the same problem, but don't know how wide spread it is.
If you got money to spend get both. I still want an Arctic, and got an RMA number and returned mine.
In the end it's not how the host looks, but how good the laser is, and the Spartan wins hands down. The only thing against it, is the host is not the best looking. But I can tell you it's as soild as the Arctic and was supprised how heavy the Spartan is. It's a very soild host.
All's i was saying is...the one thing the Arctic has going for it is...the host is stunning...where as the spartan (to me) looks like a flashlight but the beam is the main thing.
Yes exactly, the beam is the same, but were it is superior on the Spartan is not artifacts with the beam, so is a lot cleaner looking, and the beam is accually slightly narrower. With the Arctic you get light scatter which leads to an unclean beam, so get artifacts around your beam, due to refections, so does not look anywhere as good as the Spartan's clean beam does.
