Took these last night :)

It needs realignment still, you can see the beams splitting in a few of the photos.

okay well this makes me want to build one someday. Too bad i wont be able to afford the parts in the near future :( very cool pics bro

Wow. Laser projectors are the most beautiful things ever. Photos are amazing! Whats the powers and did you use any fog?

Powers are 300mW 640nm, 400mW 532nm and 1W 445.

Yes there was fog, however the photos were taken at pretty short exposures to bring out the colours, so it's a lot brighter IRL.

An internal pic for anyone interested:

Very nice! I hope to be on my way to one very soon;) Great job!

right on!!! I love it!!! what are the dimensions of that baseplate? where did you get the enclosure? Is it a server rack?

I will build a scanner some day. I am hoping that these laser projectors will catch on and we will get some new cheap high power diodes to play with.

Great pics and the internals look nice and clean. Great setup.

IIRC the baseplate is something like 350x400x6mm

The case is a generic 2U rack mount case I got from Jaycar

Showoff :P

Seriously those pics are great. I think the only way I'll ever have something like that is to buy one.

really should try and put the red nearest the scanners as its going to be your weakest color

besides that looking good, 640 is a nice color

Yeah, though this scanner was built before 445nm lasers were released, so I wasn't intending on a blue for a while. Was just easier to throw the blue in there as it fit, not much red is lost on the dichross anyway, they're pretty efficient :)

640 is indeed an awesome wavelength, although it's a dual laser-wave module, and it appears my beams are beginning to split ever so slightly. Hoping I've got one of the adjustable modules ;)
