A bit ugly, but hey, it works!

I was looking at the first pics going "skewers and glue, very unprofessional..." but I think those beam pics speak for themselves!

:o

Wow! Really nice work! I love how it goes through the lens :) What's the power on the green?

140mW give or take.

Hot glue keeps all my projects together. [smiley=vrolijk_1.gif]

im currently working on a spirograph using an old computer case as a hobby box ;D ill post it around the same time i finish up my review of the matched blu-ray and red burners i recently got

Great Work FML!

And I agree about hot glue, it always finds its way into all of my projects. ;D

great portable tunnel, could look better but who cares when your in the dark ;D

nice build.

I'm gonna try to make it look better. Later.

Maybe I'll put a plastic pipe around it all, IDK. I'll do something...

Is possible to make it with a common mirror and not a first surface mirror?
I'm wandering if the ray would be visible without smoke.

You mean just one mirror? Yes, that's what most people do, but the problem is that the tunnel wont point forward with the laser, and in most cases be oval and not round. You can use a flat standard mirror, but you will get some reflections which makes multiple weak beams instead of just one bright. A member here, Switch, made a really good picture explaining that, but who knows were it is.

My tunnel is visible outside at night, even good enough for star(s!) pointing. For you it depends on the laser's colour, power, mirror and the air. But smoke just makes it look awesome!

Nice job. Where did you get that piece of first surface mirror from?
