Re: MagicStick - The new 2012 custom host

Just dropping in to check on the progress. Must say they look amazing. Im looking forward to sending funds. Whats the current ETA? And im in for a 2nd batch when its materialized

I know a few folks are asking about high performance clicky's or switches which is an obvious issue when your applications are getting increasingly powerful. Sinner and i, exchanged a few PM's discussing some viable options. Problem is quality switches are expensive but money well spent. My suggestion is to keep a few high output siwtches in your tool box. There's plenty of good sources so buy the ones that best fit your wallet. McMclicky switches makes some of the better ones IMO and he's well known as the goto for performance switches. And there pretty cool mechanical devices if that's your thing. You can appreciate the extra few bucks when you see the difference in materials and design. I have seen the El Cheapo Chinese switches melt and in one case kill my diode ( actually 2 diodes). Don't go cheap

Is it possible I can be in again? Did you still save my spot?

Thanks again DS  , the discussion was really helpful.. Appreciate your help and suggestions mate..
I'm going to announce the newer version very soon. Im sure you'd like the MS-V2 better

I decided to lose the chinese reverse clickies that i am currently using, I dont want to keep any doubt even if the odds are 1 out of 100, Let's just say we dont trust the chinese.. So I'm not even gona bother to test them.. Definitely not gona want any of the owners to lose a perfectly fine Laser Diode over a cheap switch. Cuz that sucks!! I'm looking at a few better options, going to test them as soon as they arrive.. Chances are people wont have to spend another cent when i'm alive! Dah.. :na:

Allright so far, The hosts had some last minute adjustments which i posted earlier, Sanded down to remove marks, scratches and Power-Buffed, now i've sent a few of them to a powder-coating shop and i'm on with the polishing.
I can only polish a couple of hosts per day , it takes about 1~2 hours to get the final finish on One Host!! That's a high-speed polishing at 24000r.p.m if it's something u guys would want to know, and the results are Jaw-dropping.

Don't worry about it. No problem. Did you say you were making a MSv2? If so, I want to be the first on that list! :)
