I wonder if you could blind the motion detector sensor above automatic doors in malls or gas stations? :p It would keep them from opening, haha :D

Those are actually radar, there is a hack for jamming police radar by using those door openers, this is why if you drive past a mall etc the radar detector in you car goes nuts. ::) Unless your detector is for the laser radar, then it doesnt pick it up. The older detectors have city and highway settings for this reason.

This is true if you have a shitty one. If you have a good one, your detector can tell you that you are picking up a K- or X-band, one of which is short-range and weak, used in things like motion sensors for doors, and the other is long-range and powerful, used by police and other law enforcement to catch speeders and such.

Obviously, I use a 700. valentine, the shitty one is just for example that the sensors are radar drivin.

So what about the motion sensors in the home security systems? Those white boxes with an LED that turns on when you move.If I shine even a 5mW red on them , the LED doesn't turn on no matter how much I move.So I was thinking that the ones used at malls are the same.Too bad, it would've been fun :p

those use heat infrared so you're probably making the sensor see a giant blob of heat from the laser hitting the sensor, making you essentially invisible
