As stated in the title. Jayrobs Mag-Light 2-D build has inspired me to use some of my newly acquired tools to build one myself.

Here is my 2C M140 Mag-Lite:
IMAG0208-1.jpg

I'm running a M140 recieved from DTR:beer:and a X-Drive 1.8A purchased from cajunlasers (VERY! sweet driver:wave: BTW) with 2 25500 C sized batt. there was some spring modification done nothing fancy just clip and bend.

The heatsink is the biggest I've done so far I did not weigh it, but it goes to the bottom of the head with just enough room for 2 thermal pads to finnish bottoming it out.

While the driver did not get hot to the touch (at 1min testing) I plan on outragous run times sooo I once again took jays idea:thanks: with just more of an overkill with the shear mass surrounding the driver::eg:

I have yet to test the unit with a LPM I will say it was drawing 945mA cold to 1.2A holding when last tested from the tailcap.

Here is some beams from my dirty work desk, but my burn board at home was spitting flames off it when focusing using a 405nm 445nm AixiZ lens.

I will update this post when I can and I have many other builds I'm working on sharing. Thank you in advance for looking and get out there and build some laser goodness:beer:

Edit: I LPM this unit and it held steady at 1938mA only dropped to 1928mA after several runs prolly 5 consecutive 1 min runs Using a G-2 lens

Such an overkill, especially for that driver!

It's going to get all the coolness it needs.

Awesome build! Cheers.

New beaters are fun too! Your build looks great by the way!

That old one just looks like something my former police sergeant (I'm an ex-policeman) would have carried on the beat back in his day. :D

The good part about the mag-lights is you can always swap battery tubes for a 4 Cell one and make that thing run forever on the x-drive...
