Interesting effect.  I haven't a clue how it's done.

**goes off to the kitchen to get his own cookie

Ummm... same deal as those sprint commercials, except with something over the aperture of your bluray.
Long exposure.

Maybe?

I'm gonna get my own cookie too.

I haven't seen those, but that's basicly it.I cleartaped a 6mm BB pellet to the aperture and used 8 second exposure to make the 3d laser graffiti :p

You deserve the cookie but since you're getting your own , I'm gonna eat this one myself.

Daguin, shame on you , you bourgeoisie folks should have servants to get you cookies. ::)

It's light painting (look it up on wikipedia or something), but with a laser instead of a flashlight. I do that all the time, actually. :D

I read it on wikipedia and I still dont get it lol.... ;D

I just dont understand how we dont see the light source in the picture... or a smeared image of his hand or whatever moving the laser around the can.... I must be missing something... and I know I'm going to feel really stupid when the light bulb finally blinks on in my head. :D

Yea, the BB pellet is only there to diffuse the light, or fluoresce. Then I move the laser to make the spiral pattern or whatever and then give it another 4 seconds of exposure so my arm or laser wouldn't be visible in the picture. You can use a flashlight or a LED but this way you can get so many colours and it emits light in most directions so you don't have to worry about how you twist it.

Besides, in doing any task , it's always better if you can do it with the help of a laser :D

ahhhh I got it now. Yeah I figured out what the BB was for after I posted, but I still didn't get why I wouldn't see you. Then I found a picture where I could actually see a very faint image of the artist and it all *clicked* for me. ;D
