see how many ways of writing LPF onto anything you can come up with.

paper
metal?
grass
a tree
wood chunks
your brother's arm/neck
dog hair (lol?)
lcd screen
crt screen
GITD tiles
black plastic
a cd
pop balloons that are arranged to spell LPF

or just.....get a cheap laser

AND MICROWAVE IT!

I vote the last one!

But can I have a rep? (please? ;))

Amazing ideas as usual Niko. I'll be definitely trying that one out.

Okay, this is my favourite: Long range burning! Like popping balloons from 5m with your pulsar, then with your dilda, and finally with your 170mW CNI! If your pulsar is in spec it will do it. (Like my pulsar ;)) And then just start burning plastic and matches. So you make a nice long ~3minute video. I like long laser videos. [smiley=happy.gif]
I'll try some more long range videos, but I'll really only use the DX200s for that. The 170mW CNI can not burn from any far distances due to its divergence, and the whole point of my pulsar videos is to show why not to buy one. ;D I do like the long distance burning ideas though, maybe I'll try a 30ft-40ft balloon pop with the DX200.

1. get 150 pounds of TNT and plant it on the wall of your local bank.

2. get lots of gunpowder and make a big trail of it 100 feet away. The trail goes from the TNT to a place where you stand.

3. have lots of cameras set up throughout the trail and outside the wall.

4. have a match lie in the path of the gunpowder, light the match with the laser.

5. have all the cameras record. make sure it films the TNT blowing a hole into the wall.

6. sneak in, go into the big safe, and burn the money with your lazor!!

7. upload it on youtube!

------------------------------------------------

burn a black person with the laser.

------------------------------------------------

fill a bottle with gas and matches and light it.

------------------------------------------------

have a friend stand far far far far far far away and give him the camera and shine the laser at him.

There are still many people out that don't realize the differences of DPSS lasers and diode lasers. ::) You should make a video that explains why reds/blu-rays don't need IR filters in them and why some colors of laser cost SO much.

I should really make more of those Underwater Laser box videos.

You know that's a good idea, because the camera sees IR, and people will understand stuff they see better. ;D

You can also try an effects video with diffraction gratings, crystals and stuff, lenses, lots of fog, diffraction gratings+crystals and/or frosted glass, mirrors, spyrograph, and stuff like that! :D

You can shine your most powerfull laser , focused through the spyrograph on a piece of receipt paper and see if it draws the pattern :D

Detonating homemade bombs at long range using lasers and beam expanders.

After you get another blu-ray you could make a flourescence and GITD video where you line up all these minerals and plastics and glow-water and gitd material and shine your bluray along with your camera moving across the "line" of reactive stuff and show different pretty colours and glowy goodness. :D

Use the IR laser and a nightshot camera to illuminate stuff that passes IR and compare to normal visible conditions, like a glass of coke :D

Do the gunpowder+TNT bank idea, take some money, buy an RPL 425 and make some videos of that ::)
