You made like two other threads about holograms on the front page already, you don't need a third one.

Those are very beautiful slices of oranges. I haven't seen holograms like that before.

Three more holograms. Have refined my workflow now, attaining satisfactory results.

Freshly cut lemons and apples. In the actual hologram they glisten and appear edible. Viewing angles better than appear in video

Watch in HD if possible. Again.. the actual hologram is so much more impressive than these videos. I made another holo of marbles last night, and they appear so real in the hologram - actual size and all, that you feel you should be able to pick them up.

FYI... You can easily Edit any of your Posts to add or combine
more of the same info...

Are these not reflection type?

Transmissions have to be lit from behind, correct?

It surprised me. That hologram is the best of the bunch, although it doesn't appear so in the videos. I'd read holograms of certain objects, including food, were difficult. Never know until you try.

They are transmission holograms, which, fortunately or unfortunately, are lit from the front. At least the way I'm doing it, staring towards the laser. You can attain much more depth this way compared to the reflection holograms, although a laser is required to reveal the image. It's interesting as a white LED flashlight, which is nearly a point source and quasi-coherent, will reveal a very rainbow image with objects closest to the hologram glass being visible though indistinct. Under normal lighting the glass films appear transparent.

Here are the instructions I followed - I got the film from the same supplier also (integraf):
INTEGRAF | How to Make Transmission Holograms - Introduction

These holograms are very easy to create. The tedious bit is developing the film.

I chose integraf as they have the highest resolution films with the fastest exposure times. Litiholo provides the convenience of instant film, however the exposure times are orders of magnitude longer - minutes instead of seconds. The high rise I live in is always shakin', so any exposure > 2-4 seconds is not good.

I think I've got everything I need... except vibration dampening. I have 4mws of 635nm available, so I will need maybe 15s for exposure I believe.

Then reflection holograms are lit from the rear of the viewer?
