Hey man!

Glad it worked out for you :D

Yeah when you have so many grooves to do it is easier to just smeer it in there and remove the leftovers later! :)

I hope your epoxy does not dry as fast as mine :p i have 40 seconds to apply it before it hardens :p

Anyway looking good! Most enlightning MSSSW i have seen

Greetings,,

Ahh there's the other guy I wanted to hear from! Thanks a lot for the tips. Worked out great! Actually find it hard to evenly charge the whole thing lol. But when it is it looks insane. Finally have my show piece. Going to do my ms-v1 in 638. Ill be hitting the grooves in red on that one. Wow that's going to be a joke compared to this! Will look great though.

Congrats! It really turned out great. As wannaburn said, kind of scary taking a risk to try and get it right with an expensive (relatively speaking) unit.
Happy for you that it really worked out and gives the unit character.
You see how much we apreciate you going for it. Think your REP has taken a big jump;)

To me this was one of my best lasers if not the best. Was defiantly worried about messing up and having to somehow remove GORILLA epoxy! Thank you guys so much for the rep. This makes me want to do more just for the great convos it starts. You guys have helped me out with so much. I'm glad to just be able to say that even though its been done, I did something " the guys" really seemed to enjoy.

Thanks a lot. I wouldn't have thought it would turn out this nice. Hey all I need is an lpm. People can ship their stuff to me and get metered and gitd applied upon request. Need to give back to this forum for all the help and fun it provides me.

Found a really easy way to do it. Would like to see people's reaction to their overhauled units. Nothing compared to people like pman.

Hey tmackbb4, I have any idea for how you can easily charge it up. If you want it as a showcase laser, you could make a case or stand for it that has uncollimated PHR-805 diodes that you can turn on when you want to charge it up. Maybe?

Man that sounds awesome. I'm going to run through some idea about a charging case for it. Great idea

 I figure about 4 diodes running along the indention where the host would sit would manage it well if you want to go for something low-key. Then all you would need to do is rotate the host once.

Another option that may work even better though is lining it with 405nm LED's. That will give you much better spread and help you activate all of the powder.

For activating the LED's or Diodes, I would recommend an on/off switch instead of having it stay on when the case is closed or open or something. Simply because of lifespan issues.

For the lining, I highly recommend some velvet cloth. I used blue for mine, YMMV however.

Could just buy a UV light (I have one) that has a very broad beam.
Lots of them on Amazon and I bet a party store would have them too.

Wonder if they have tube style bulb I could mount in a case. Ever seen one that thin?
