First off the labels on the first photo where done for someone else. I'm pretty sure you all know what's going on without the need for labels. :D

I had some of the HeNe's out the other day and managed to get a pretty good image that shows what an additive red / green HeNe yellow looks like. I will say that the camera picked up the yellow MUCH better then my eyes did.

Notice super precise, VERY expensive, optical table setup in the first photo.

My multicolor "twinkle lights" minus the twinkling of course.

That's a gas. You should add a yellow HeNe. :p But that's pretty cool, to do it with all HeNe. Are you seeing a lot of yellow or is that just the camera blending it?

And is that optical table a Newport or ThorLabs?

Trust me, I'd love to add a real yellow to the mix. I only know of one for sale at the moment and $550.00 is a little out of my budget. :(
Maybe my secret Santa will go a little over budget. LOL!

I was really trying for the yellow, but truthfully I couldn't see much of anything. The green was overpowering the red. It's almost all the camera. I was really surprised when I looked at the photos.

So now to wall mount the three tubes, aim them up to mirrors that direct them all into corner reflectors to send them to a final reflector with the diffraction grating spreading out the beams towards the floor. Put a tree under it and let a little smoke into the room and watch peoples jaws drop at your festive display...
But it's too early to talk of Christmas !
:undecided:
