Fog types, which is best?

I'm looking to fog up my room and do a nice shoot with some fog. Can we compare these? If not, i'll do each on my own time.

Dry Ice + water fog (co2 fog)

Glycerin fog (fog machine)

Combustion fog (smoke)

Fog (natural mist)

Dry ice and water is too dense and doesn't disperse
Glycerin fog is great, best for lasers
Combustion fog can be a hazard, smells bad sometimes, cam set off smoke detectors, and needs a lot of combusted material to get the right amount of smoke
Natural fog can be too rarely occurring to be used as a main fog medium for photographs.
Buy yourself a fog machine :)

I agree, a fog machine would be best IMO; you can have it where you want it, when you want it, and it's reasonably safe and economical.
Besides that, getting that natural fog in the house can be a real bitch! :D

I do have a sonic humidifier, so inside fog isn't out of the question!
I'm really excited to compare the types! I may add liquid nitrogen fog to the list.

I have a Chauvet fog machine I bought from Amazon. Works great and even made the beams of my <5mW's stand out amazingly! :)

I also have a Chavet fog machine $32 on Amazon.,works great and came with a bottle of liquid to get you going. Bottles of the liquid smoke are cheap and last a long time.

I bought a 35$ fogger and use the hell out of it. Also I find that incense work as good maybe a bit better as the particles are smaller so look better for photography and last a lot longer. Some Nag Champa incense or some Palo Santos work great and make the room smell good. The fogger is faster though but can make the room pretty cloudy for pics. A hazer is best but will run you about 300$ for the cheapest model. Haze is a much smaller particle and stays in the air longer.

If you want just to get a very specific area you can use a vape mod and blow the smoke where you want. I don't use it to smoke. I bought a bunch of them when I picked up some 510 stuff. Great for when you don't want to fill up the house.
You can also use lots of different sprays such as anything from hair to paint and even stuff like flour but obviously those aren't so great for indoors unless you are looking to have your wife kill you while you are sleeping;)
